What to Expect When You Visit

Visiting a church for the first time can bring a lot of questions. At Summer Hill Baptist Church, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive. You don't need to register or let us know you're coming—just come and worship with us.

Parking

Parking is available around the church property, with designated parking spaces for seniors and guests with disabilities.

Where to Enter

If you're joining us for Sunday School, please use the Fellowship Hall entrance adjacent to the concrete senior parking area. For Sunday Morning Worship, enter through the main entrance at the front of the church.

What Should I Wear?

Summer Hill Baptist Church does not have a dress code, and we don't judge anyone based on what they wear. Some people come in their Sunday best, while others dress more casually. Come as you are - you'll be welcome.

Children & Nursery

During Sunday Morning Worship, we offer a staffed nursery as well as Children's Church for children ages 3 - 7. We want families with young children to feel comfortable and welcome when they worship with us.

Giving & Offering

An offering is received during our Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday services, but visitors should never feel obligated to give. At Summer Hill, we believe giving is between you and the Lord.

When Should I Arrive?

We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before the service begins. This gives you time to get settled and find a good seat before worship begins.

Sunday School for All Ages

Sunday School begins at 10:00 AM each Sunday, with classes for all ages, including children, young adults, adults, and seniors. Visitors are always welcome to join us for Sunday School.

What Is the Worship Service Like?

Sunday Morning Worship begins at 11:00 AM and normally concludes around 12:00 noon. Our music is traditional Baptist, featuring traditional hymns and special music. The service also includes prayer and Bible-centered preaching.

Accessibility

Summer Hill Baptist Church is handicap accessible. Both the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall are accessible, including the restrooms. Designated parking is also available for guests with disabilities and seniors.

Wifi

Free Wi-Fi is available for our guests while at Summer Hill Baptist Church. Ask a member of our church family if you need help getting connected.

Hearing Assistance

We want everyone to be able to clearly hear and participate in worship. Summer Hill Baptist Church offers two hearing-assistance options during our services.

WaveCAST Personal Listening

Our WaveCAST hearing-assistance system allows guests to listen to the church audio directly through their own compatible smartphone or mobile device over our Wi-Fi network. Using the WaveCAST app, guests can hear the service through their own earbuds, headphones, or compatible hearing devices connected to their phone. Each listener can control the volume at a comfortable personal level.

FM Listening Receivers

For guests who prefer not to use a smartphone, we also provide FM over-the-ear listening receivers. These dedicated receivers provide amplified service audio directly to the listener.

For help with WaveCAST, an FM receiver, or any hearing-assistance questions, please visit the Sound Booth. Our media team will be glad to help you get connected before or during the service.
